Introduction
Picks Organic are a family run farm and have been producing organic meat and vegetables since 1999. We strongly believe in the principles of organic farming. Our crops are grown and animals reared without the use of pesticides or fertilisers, growth hormones or routine antibiotics. Our crops are grown in a way that enhances the environment, maintains the quality of the soil and does not harm wild life.
Tea Shop and Garden
Enjoy a fabulous Organic Cream Tea in our tea garden. We also have a heated summer house for the less clement days. Enjoy the sounds, smells and sights of the farm as you enjoy our selection of cakes, scones, cream teas, teas, coffees, ice creams, organic apple or pear juices.
We are open 7 days a week from 9 - 6pm (closed Christmas, Easter and New Year's Day).

Online Store

The Butcher's Shop
Robbie Brown our brilliant and friendly, expert butcher is on hand to offer advice, cooking tips and a superb selection of succulent meat. From Organic Pork, Beef, Lamb and Poultry to the very best in game (in season). You can always call and ask for Robbie to find out what's in season at the moment and to reserve your favourite cuts and joints. Events
After the success of our open day we are keen to expand the events that we hold. But let us know what you want to see, we are excited by the ideas of an organic bonfire night! Or maybe Halloween - maybe even a medieval banquet - let us know what you think in our forum.
A Little History
Tim Pick and his ancestors have been farming at Hamilton Grounds since the mid 1920s and have built a reputation built on great quality produce. In 1999 Tim and his cousin Nicky Chambers formed Picks Organic Farm and since then the business has thrived. Customers love the sights, sounds, and vistas of East Leicestershire and the tea shop, on-site butcher's shop and farm shop are popular with customers enjoying organic cream teas, buying great quality meat and game as well as shoppers popping in for staple ingredients, beers, wines, ciders and our infamous Pick-Nik range of home-made chutneys, jams, marmalades and cakes. In more recent years the business has expanded significantly with the introduction of farmer's markets and Picks can now be found at Farmer's Markets across the midlands each weekend.
Long before the Pick's time our farm was the location of the original Hamilton a thriving medieval village. The village was deserted in 1642 due to the black death, and is said to be the seat and origins of the Hamilton (Scottish) Clan. Read more here.
The Farm Shop
The Farm Shop is at the heart of our business, we aim to bring the very best in locally produced, organic produce to you and all under one roof. We stock a great many lines and products and its definitely worth popping over to see us. We have:
